Love and Healing Part 1

Three Love-Keys to Healing … And More

Bound together with Holy Spirit to make one whole you … inside and out.

“Why, Lord, why?” was the cry of my heart. “My heart breaks.”

“Lord, good comes from You, and evil comes from the devil. You are our Great Physician, our Heavenly Father. You love your children. You are a good, good Father. Disease is not our inheritance in Christ Jesus.

Then why are so many believers I know who have been in ministry for years and are firmly in You and the Word going through major physical dilemmas? Sickness, disease, major surgical procedures, and more. These are not their inheritance!”

I never hesitate to talk to the Lord like this. I know He will answer me in His timing. God does not afflict us with diseases, although He may allow it when we open the door to our spiritual adversary, the devil. Jesus healed us at the Cross (Isaiah 53.3-5; 1 Peter 2.24). Healing is our inheritance in Christ and much more.

Jesus quoted the well-known Isaiah 61.1-2 scriptures recorded in Luke 4.18-19.

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me [the Anointed One, the Messiah] to

l Preach the Good News (the Gospel) to the poor.

l He has sent me to announce release to the captives.

l And recovery to the blind.

l To send forth as delivered those who are oppressed [who are downtrodden, bruised, crushed, and broken down by calamity].

l To proclaim the accepted and acceptable year of the Lord [the day when salvation and the free favors of God profusely abound]” Isaiah 62.1-2, AMPC.

Father sent Jesus to redeem us into a relationship with our Heavenly Father. The price was His blood on the Cross. Isaiah prophesied the crucifixion in Isaiah 53. Jesus came to die and be resurrected. Jesus fulfilled His assignment on earth, including the healing of our spirit, soul, and body. 1 Peter 2.24 quotes Isaiah 53.5 when he said, “By His wounds, we were healed.”

When we accept Jesus as our savior, the salvation we receive is a life of completeness (shalom), so we can wholeheartedly embrace God’s love. Accepting Jesus (His Hebrew name, Yeshua, means Salvation). We become the children of our Heavenly Father. The favor of God is ours. Our inheritance includes healing, deliverance from the enemy’s grip, and more. Because of the Cross, we receive an entire package of shalom encompassing every area of our lives:

l His Name

l His promises

l His shalom covenant blessings

l And much more

Can you understand why I cried out for understanding? With surprising speed, I received the answer, “Love,” from the Lord. He expressed love lacking in three areas of the lives of mature believers:

1. “Many of My children do not think I love them.

2. Some do not love themselves.

3. Still, others do not love someone and carry the heavy baggage of unforgiveness in their hearts.

Health is often a love issue.” There are more reasons, but this is a direct answer to my specific question. Continually, He later expands His answers.

Father said that any of the above three could open the door to the enemy. Dis-ease is a lack of ease. Distress is a mind and body in stress. Where is God’s place of rest within us? Sickness and disease come from the inside and manifest in a body that is not resting in the Lord. In between our perfected spirit and our body is our mind. The father of lies, our adversary, plays with our minds. We will trust in the Word of God, or there will be cracks in our wall of faith that protect us. Consider what is in Heaven and what is not in Heaven. Then we have easy answers as to blessings from God and what the devil’s curses are.

There are other hindrances to healing, such as:

l Fear. In all his calamities, Job said, “My worst fears have happened!”

Not believing God can heal. If a believer is not reading the Living Word with Holy Spirit, how can they receive any revelation from our Great Physician? Our spiritual senses are closed. They are often lukewarm in their faith. Father hates that. In Revelation 3.15-16, writing on the Laodicean church, John said God will spit lukewarm people out of His mouth. These believers do not think to ask our Great Physician. The medical system is usually readily available. The word “pharmacy” comes from “Pharmacia,” meaning witchcraft.”

l Running after people who have successful experience in healing others. I do not negate attending meetings where God’s power is operating or watching Christian programs where many are healed. Seeing healings raise faith. Jesus said people are healed by their trust (faith) in God.

Rather than chasing people known for healing, the person can ask the Great Physician. Believers have a direct connection.

l Relying on an object for healing. Sometimes believers add something from their culture they think will protect or heal them. This is a mixture of God with demon-gods. Our father says no.

l Allowing someone close to abuse and beat them up verbally (or physically) until their self-confidence is crushed. The lies spoken through people and received have had their intended effect.

l A compromised immune system for various reasons.

The diagnostics I received from the Lord for the cause of illness related to love are for mature believers and all believers. We all must pay attention to these three love-aspects for ourselves and our prayers and declarations. Pay attention to the other four.

Open doors to the enemy need to be slammed shut. Holy Spirit exposes doors for us to repent and provides scriptures to declare, decree, and proclaim. You can kick the enemy out and slam the door. Then, submitted to God through repentance, we can resist the devil, and he must flee (James 4.7).

The following day after the Lord taught me these three aspects, tears welled in my eyes and flowed down my face when I heard Luke 4.18-19 read in the church service.

I know many believers need help understanding their inheritance in Christ. I did not comprehend the fullness of what I had received through the death and resurrection of Jesus either. Believers have a sniffle and proclaim they have a cold, reaching for cold medication or going to the doctor for medicine. What they professed with their mouth is now theirs. There is power in agreement. They created an open door to the enemy by what they said that does not align with God’s Word. We were healed at the Cross. Sickness is not our inheritance. It is good to avoid chemical medications with their side effects and demonic origin.

When we profess sickness and disease with our mouths, we have permitted the devil to enter.

If believers have stomachaches, they often express their discomfort and add another medicine. Often, believers focus on symptoms rather than the Word of God. Heaven has no symptoms, sickness, disease, stress, medications, or surgeries. By His stripes, we were healed. Believers who embrace drugs often agree with symptoms, feelings, and thoughts rather than being investigative agents to find the root cause or rebuke the enemy.

I learned the hard way. I had been running too hard and long, carrying a heavy burden of family, business, and culture. Without giving everything to the Lord, my Burden-bearer, everything fell apart. I was sleeping in a recliner chair, unable to breathe in a bed. I alternated two inhalers daily. I then realized our first go-to needs to be the Lord to get His view. I learned to rebuke the devil and kick him out. Sometimes believers do not or can not pray because of a low faith level or the severity of their illness. In these cases, intercessors can stand in the gap for others. We need intercessors.
