Leviathan vs. Our Minds 3 E

Love Reveals Deception

Heaven was deceived. Adam and Eve were deceived. We are deceived. The source remains the same. You can name him the leviathan, adversary, devil, the father of lies, or his many other titles and names. His job remains the same. So how do we counteract the lies of satan?

Freedom to Love

We walk in the Love of God, forgiving others because we know we do not fight against flesh and blood. However, everyone has a carnal nature that manifests.

We choose to repent, let go of any offense, forgive, not live in the past and receive healing in our spirit and soul. Instead, another person’s actions are used by satan against us.

Not forgiving others, we lose to the wiles of the leviathan. I discovered that releasing others into God’s hands rather than trying to “fix everything and everybody” was Father’s better plan.

Living in the world is often hurtful. I had a vision once of someone close to me in a prison cell. Jesus was also in that prison cell. He had given me a key of forgiveness which unlocked the prison door. The person left the cell, eyes on the ground, walking slowly down the road with chains attached to his ankles connected to heavy balls dragging on the ground. Jesus was walking alongside.

Our Lord will never leave or forsake us, no matter what happens in the world that is often unfair. I have listened to Holocaust survivors, sex slave survivors, and those who were victims of incest. King David said that the people closest to him turned against him. No matter what our circumstances are, we must be willing to forgive.

Our heart’s cry always needs to be, “Lord, Help me to forgive as I have been forgiven!”

Venessa Mitchell sang in the White House in Washington, DC. She sang for young people. She sang for us in Fukuoka, Japan. Her most requested song anywhere she sang in the world was, ‘Lord, Help Me to Forgive (as I have been forgiven...’).

We do not want our faith shipwrecked, do we? Not forgiving others separates us from intimacy with God and others and gives satan and his followers an edge.

God never leaves or forsakes us, but sometimes we leave Him for a moment or a season. Our Abba (Papa) waits for us to draw near. He always hears the cry of our hearts and sees our pain.

When Steven was being stoned, he chose to forgive those involved. His forgiveness opened the way for Saul (Paul) to become a radical follower of Christ and change the known world for Christ (Acts 6-9).

Paul, a brilliant man who totally surrendered in every way, was led by Holy Spirit. Paul wrote the many letters that are included in the New Covenant writings. Paul, being guided by Holy Spirit, is evidenced by Paul’s letters being included in the Protestant Bible as inspired words (II Timothy 3.16).

Jesus asked His Father to forgive those who nailed Him to the Cross. Knowing what was ahead and as difficult as facing the Cross was, we see Christ in the Garden of Gethsemane, totally surrendered to God’s will. Jesus knew God’s plan for His life included not only us but all the nations.

Sinless, Christ took on the penalty for our sin that we did not receive death, even though we deserved it. We do not deserve Love, Peace, Joy, mercy, relationship, or eternal life! Through the New Covenant, we have all this and much more. All are Love-gifts from our Heavenly Father to His children.

We are commanded to forgive others for our benefit. God cannot ‘judicially hear’ our prayers in the Courts of Heaven without repentance and forgiveness. Jesus taught us to forgive in The Lord’s Prayer. Trust Him!

There is so much we do not yet understand when we are stagnant or have plateaued in building a personal relationship with a Personal God. Don’t we first trust God and then begin to understand more?

No matter what happens, bless the Lord! Praise His Name with a thankful heart.

We stand firm on the Rock of our Salvation, Jesus, or we are pulled between opinions by the adversary that hinders the furthering of God’s Kingdom influence on earth and God’s plans and purposes for us as individuals and as the Body of Christ collectively.

Holy Spirit spreads the Love of God across our hearts. Because God first loved us, we can love God and personally build a relationship with Him. God spoke to Abraham and Moses as a man speaks to his friend (Genesis 18; Exodus 33.11). Likewise, Jesus calls us friends (John 15).

Is Love expressed through us on earth? Do we allow His Light, Life, and Love to shine through us in our families and then to the world around us?

In relationship with our Heavenly Father and our Lord Jesus Christ, we walk in Love, Peace, and Joy, staying in His Rest. Holy Spirit alerts us to deception from spirits or people being used by spirits.

Freedom to Rejoice

Relationship with our Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus Christ, and Holy Spirit release praise, worship, thanksgiving, and rejoicing. Enter into God’s gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise. These precepts are woven throughout Scripture.

As you praise, focusing on our Father and our Lord Jesus, your heart releases Joy and Peace.

If you lose His Joy and the song in your heart, do something about it! If you do not know what to do, ask Holy Spirit to reveal the root cause.

Jesus taught that without being connected to Him, we can do nothing of eternal value (John 15.1-17). In Christ, we can do all things as He becomes our Strength.

Joy unspeakable! When God’s joy breaks through in our life, we have won! We know the righteousness of God and peace have kissed to release His joy. Let the righteous be joyful! Sing to God of the whole earth!

In Christ, our Heavenly Father sees us through Christ’s shed Blood as righteous. But, in our own right, we are not righteousness, thus the importance of quick repentance and forgiveness.

Psalm 68.1-4: Let God arise, and His enemies be scattered...let the righteous be joyful; let them exult before God; let them be jubilant with joy! Sing to God, sing praises to his Name; lift up a song to Him who rides upon the clouds; His Name is the Lord; exult before Him.

Psalm 97.1-12: The Lord reigns; let the Earth rejoice...Righteousness and Justice are the foundation of His Throne. Fire goes before Him and burns up His adversaries round about...light dawns for the righteous and joy for the upright in heart. Rejoice in the Lord, Oh you righteous, and give thanks to His Holy Name.

Since there is none righteous, we are covered with Christ’s Robe of Righteousness (Isaiah 61.10; Romans 3.10). In my mind, I imagine this Robe as red due to the Blood He shed for us on the Cross to redeem us to God. But then again, could this robe be white as the Blood purifies, and we view purity as white?

Yes! Sing to the Lord a new song, as He has done marvelous things on our behalf!

Psalm 85.8-13: Let me hear what the Lord will speak, for He will speak peace to His people, to His saints, those who turn to Him in their hearts. Surely His Salvation is at hand for those who fear (revere) Him that Glory (His Manifest Presence) may dwell in our land. Steadfast Love and faithfulness will meet; Righteousness and Peace will kiss each other...Yes, God will give what is good...Righteousness will go before Him and make His footsteps a way.

Christ going ahead, I desire to follow Him, don’t you also?

Isaiah 61.10: I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall exult in my God; for He has clothed me with Garments of Salvation, He has covered me with His Robe of Righteousness.

No wonder many people dance before the Lord with exuberance. How can we not desire to have the dry places in our hearts watered by His goodness?

Not being able to please Him through striving, we need only trust, surrendering what little we have to be equipped by Him in all things and led by His Spirit moment by moment. I no longer limit my conversations with God to my quiet time with the Lord, I talk with the Lord throughout my day.

We can rejoice in all circumstances, not be anxious, pray with assurance, and make our needs known to God. We are kept in perfect Peace, clothed in Him (Philippians 4). Christ is our Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9.5-6).

Our focus will shift from what we see in the natural to Him. We may not be able to fully comprehend Our Heavenly Father’s Love, Peace, and Joy at first, but we have this assurance tucked in our very being. Our confidence can be in Him. He is faithful.

His Steadfast Love Endures Forever.
