Fear of the Lord - 7-Fold Spirit

Our Hidden Treasure in Jesus

One of my favorite Scriptures in the Bible is Isaiah 11.1-3. These Scriptures came alive to me many years ago. Isaiah, the prophet, spoke of the coming of the Messiah and the wonderful attributes of Holy Spirit that would be His and, therefore ours!

Isaiah, a poetic prophet, not only prophesied about the coming of the Messiah but also inter-connected Jesus with Holy Spirit. The Messiah would come through the lineage of David, and the Spirit of the LORD (Yahweh) would rest upon Him.

Messiah means anointed one. He would be anointed with the Spirit of Wisdom, and with Wisdom, we would have Understanding. The Messiah would have the Spirit of Counsel and Power, the Spirit of Knowledge, and the Fear of the LORD. Notice verse 3.

And there shall come forth a Shoot out of the stock of Jesse [David’s father], and a Branch out of his roots shall grow and bear fruit.

And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him … the Spirit of Wisdom and Understanding, the Spirit of Counsel and Might the Spirit of Knowledge, and the reverential and obedient Fear of the LORD.

And shall make Him of quick understanding, and His delight shall be in the reverential and obedient Fear of the LORD, And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, neither decide by the hearing of His ears (Isaiah 11.1-3).

Above all else, Jesus Christ (Messiah, the Anointed One) would value the Fear of the LORD.

Jesus has no other gods than His Heavenly Father. They were One. He did only as He saw and heard His Father do. Jesus knew exactly what to say and do, thanks to having Holy Spirit. Through Jesus, we have the same benefit. This is part of our inheritance in Christ.

Jesus put Father first in all things, and we can learn to do the same.

Destiny

One of the keys to understanding the Father’s plan for our life is the seven eyes of Holy Spirit in II Chronicles 16.9: For the eyes of Adonai (YHWH/Yahweh) move here and there throughout the whole earth to show Himself strong on behalf of those who are wholehearted toward Him (CJSB).

When our hearts at fully committed, we are not only strengthened in the natural, but the Almighty God of the Universe is moving in the spiritual realm to protect us. He becomes our Defense, Defender, Strong Tower, Source, Supply, Helper, and much, much more.

Holy Spirit, as the eyes of God, is examining our hearts. When we desire a pure and submitted heart, Holy Spirit helps us transform more and more into the image of Jesus.

We cannot change the innermost workings of our hearts merely through our efforts.

Rev 5.6 shows a vision of the Lamb with seven eyes, the 7 Spirits of God (the sevenfold Spirit) sent out into all the earth.

Revelation 5.6: Then I saw standing there with the throne and the four living beings, in the circle of the elders, a Lamb that appeared to have been slaughtered. He had seven horns and seven eyes, the sevenfold Spirit of God sent out throughout all the earth. CJSB

The Spirit of God is searching for a particular kind of person to bless, strengthen and protect so that they might do extraordinary things united with Christ.

Holy Spirit is sent, searching for a fully submitted you and me!
